There are times in a person’s life when they may feel stuck. They may be in a situation that is making them unhappy, however they are lacking the motivation or extra push they need to help them create positive change in their life. Sometimes they are not even sure what it is that they want.

If a person is unclear as to what their goal is, they can take a look at each area of their life. Those areas may include: Family, friends, health, career, finances, physical location, hobbies, and also their love life. They can begin by determining on a scale of one to ten (ten being best) how they feel about each of those areas of their life. After they determine which area has the lowest number, they can then think about what they can do to make that area a “ten”.

Once a person has determined what their goal (or dream) is, they can then begin to focus on it by determining what steps they need to take in order to get there. One thing to consider is that even though a person may not be happy with their current situation, it was that situation that launched their dream. So it is important to appreciate where a person is in their life, which helps to create a positive mental attitude. This attitude can help to move a person in the right direction more quickly.

Also, it is a good idea for a person to surround themselves with other people who have similar goals. This support system can add more motivation, and can provide even more ideas which will help them to reach their goal. Determination is very important, because the person who did not reach their goal is usually the one who gave up before they reached the “finish line”. (Consider that Thomas Edison tried 700 times before inventing the light bulb.) Sometimes, a person simply needs to keep trying and not give up.

For someone who could use some extra motivation, a personal life coach can help them to find out what they want, and can help inspire them to get there. Also, a hypnotherapist can provide positive visualization, which helps people to reach their goal more quickly by using the power of the subconscious mind. Combining the two techniques can really help a person to create positive change in their life.

Why do you settle for less? Why do you accept living an average life?

What a good start!

Here is a fact of life that you must know:

“Most people are living a mediocre life because they are ignorant of who they are.”

You’ve a huge power inside, but your greatest problem has been ignorance of who you are and who you were meant to be. You’re limiting your unlimited potential.

There is too much space out there. Don’t stay in your cage, living a life of despair and dissatisfaction.

You are so unique and you’re here for a purpose. The world needs you. You’re crafted for everlasting success. You’re magnificent.

You have to know that the foundation of everlasting success is realizing, believing and unleashing your true potential and expressing your uniqueness.

Bring your uniqueness to the world and you will be of tremendous value. Also, don’t worry, money will follow!!

Set aside some time today and think of your strengths. Forget about your weaknesses now, because it is the easiest and first thing most people see in themselves.

Be different, look for your strengths and don’t tell me that you don’t have any strengths. I will not believe you. You were born great and fabulous. If you don’t believe me, look at the face of a smiling baby and feel the sheer amount of happiness and hope expressed on his face.

Therefore, look for your strengths and start building upon those. Expand your strengths and work on them. Do things that utilize most of your strengths, and avoid doing things that highlight your weaknesses. Your strengths will take care of your weaknesses as time goes by.

My friend, it is time to learn how powerful you are. It is time to get rid of your ignorance about yourself and your capabilities. Unleash your giant and live a great life that you deserve.

Don’t accept mediocrity, conversely, strive for everlasting success.

YOU can make a difference. I believe in you.

To experience anger is a part of human nature. We tend to have this feeling when we are subjected to conditions which we do not desire or are not appealing to us. It evokes reactions within our system and causes us to react in a certain way. People handle anger in different ways.

Reasons for feeling anger vary and could be unique from person to person. It could be a misunderstanding between two people, an act causing displeasure to another party, a conversation leading to an argument, an untoward behavior, and dissatisfaction over a product or service rendered to you or it could be just because of petty things. Anger does not follow a certain pattern. The thing is, same as how natural it is for us to be happy, sad, depressed or excited. You get angry as a human being.

Human beings have different ways of releasing anger. There are also different intensities of experiencing it. At times, it could go away as soon as you regain your composure or have managed to be calm. It could subside as soon as you choose to just forget about it. But, there are also cases where the person would feel so intensely that it would lead him to act aggressively or even express his feeling through violent means.

This is where the problem comes in. When your reaction becomes destructive to your self as well as others or to things around you, then you need to come up with ways to properly address your emotions. This situation creates the need for anger management.

First, you need to be aware that you are an angry person. You have to acknowledge that you have a problem. Then, you must be determined to improve your behavior and your tendency to react. Analyze your self and think of what usually triggers you to be mad. You must consider the ways you usually manifest your anger. Focusing your attention on improving the way you think, behave and act when angry could also help. Make it a point to avoid having this feeling; Stay calm and control your feelings. Doing this could be a great challenge for some.

If you have exhausted all means that you can come up in managing your anger, perhaps the expertise of a hypnotherapist can help. They can help you understand your condition and try to manage your effectively via hypnotism. In as short as a single session, you can feel less angry and more relaxed.

Bet you were hoping that I was going to offer some magic pill that you could take to make it all better, well sorry, it doesn’t work like that. The thing is, there is nothing that can stop you from suffering from depression, except you. You might not like this much, but it’s the truth, and that’s why I’m going to tell it to you anyway.

Your depression isn’t caused by the partner you have or the one you don’t have or the one that left you. It isn’t your job or your kids or the way you were bought up. It isn’t caused by your abuse or your dysfunctional family or your weight. None of these are the cause of your depression. You are. Think about it, throughout your depression, what has been the one constant, remaining factor? You.

Have you ever caught a cold? I’m sure you have. Colds are picked up from outside of us, we inhale them, ingest them, then they grow and make us feel like crap. But you don’t get depression in this way. Depression isn’t something you get, it’s something you do, it’s a process. That tells you can, if you know how to, choose not to do it. Yes it’s a choice. Sorry to all of you who were hoping that the answer would come from somewhere, a packet of pills or a doctor or a counsellor, it won’t. It won’t because you already have it, you already the expertise to cure yourself. You just have to know how to use it. And no amount of drugs, or talking about your “problems” are going to help you find it. You need re educating, you need to learn another way.

Yes it’s a choice, I know you’re questioning that part, thinking “well I obviously wouldn’t choose to feel like this.” Here’s the thing, you’ve done it so much, you’ve got good at it. Congratulations, you’ve become a master at depressing yourself. You’re hard wired to go there now, it’s automatic, like a habit, it’s almost as if you have no control over it at all. But you can and you will.

I know you’ve tried to change, you tried to fight it, using all of your will power. But making changes to the unconscious using will power is not at all easy, it’s a battle. However, making changes to the unconscious is in fact easy, when you know how to do it, or when you meet someone who’s good enough to do it for you.

If you are absolutely committed to changing, I mean totally committed, you can change so quickly. You can change in a day. I promise you, it’s true, I’ve seen it happen, I’ve experienced it myself. It wasn’t cheap and it wasn’t all that easy, but if you pay cheap you pay twice, if it’s as easy to do, it’s easy to forget. If you want to change and you are absolutely committed to doing it, you can do it, you can change in a day.

I don’t know what you want from life, I don’t know how your life will be different when you’ve stopped depressing yourself, but I can tell you that it will be completely worth the investment. How much money do you waste each year on warranties, that cost as much as the product you’ve bought, or paying fees that could have been avoided, or putting your money in the wrong savings account, or taking a holiday that you didn’t enjoy? When would now be a good time to invest in yourself? Invest into who you are as a person so that you can grow and feel good about being the worthwhile person that you truly are?

Everybody has experienced the loss of someone or something that they care for, and for me, this highlights the necessity for us to live our lives to the full, to live happy and free. For every person that ever told you that you’re not worth it, I’m here to tell you now that you are, to tell you that you can be and will be wonderfully happy and free, so what’s the one thing you need to commit to doing for yourself to let yourself know you are worth it, you are worth ever penny of that change.

Someone once told me that success is the greatest form of revenge. Now I’m not saying that you have anything to prove to anyone, but when you change, when you do it for yourself in this way, you will surprise a lot of people who expected little else from you, and that’s a really great feeling.

You can change in a day, make a turning point.

Let me start by asking two questions? First: Are you as happy and content about your life in every way? Secondly: If you are not completely satisfied with your life do you have any desire to change it?

In my conversation with all kinds of people I’ve met including conversations with family and friends I find many of them are not always enthused or thrilled about everything in their life. Even though some are not satisfied with their lives they haven’t any interest in making any life change. They’ve decided to stay with the simple life, not wanting to design a new life for themselves or change their environment.

Next are those individuals who have sometimes thought about making changes in their lives. Some even became beautiful dreamers for a while. However they never followed through on reaching any specific goals. Either because they weren’t aggressive enough to start the task or weren’t sure how or where to begin. For those who fall into this category and are willing to get an education of what’s necessary to make the changes, here’s 5 ways to assist you in getting started whenever you are ready.

1) Create a list of goals you believe would make your life more financially abundant, healthier, less stressful, and more stimulating. Write down where you want to go what you want to do and see and what you would like to improve. Once you have a list of 50 to 100 goals here’s what you do next.

2) Select only six goals. Six goals are enough to concentrate on reaching for the time being. Choose the ones that are the most desirable and important to you for now. Then write a detailed description why they are important to you. Be as descriptive as you can about each of these goals. Get inspired by them. Become truly emotional about them. Review them everyday without fail.

3) Set up a series of steps and a time frame for accomplishing each of your six goals. Each step should be set in small increments so they are easily reachable. Decide on a target date for each goal and make sure you enter these dates on a calendar or in a planner. I also advise that you track your progress weekly to see how well you are doing.

4) Seek support from only those individuals who are successful. Ask them for their advice and what they would recommend you do to become successful. And here’s something else very important to do. Purchase a few informational and motivational CD’s, DVD’s and/or books. Spend a few minutes each day reading or listening to this kind of support materials. They will do wonders for your attitude. They will also teach you various skills for handling challenges and roadblocks you may encounter along the way.

5) Never quit pursuing your goals and don’t listen to anyone who might suggest that you do. Just stay committed no matter what happens. Here’s another idea to keep you motivated and on track. Begin to build a series of pictures of the goals you’ve decided to reach. Here’s the best way to do that. Cut out pictures from magazines, newspapers or any publication that reminds you of your dreams and goals. Even print out positive sayings and pictures on your computer printer that will stimulate your attitude. Place these pictures in places around your home or office where you see them everyday. If this doesn’t feel comfortable doing this put them in a three ring binder. Just make sure they are available to view first thing every morning before you start anything else that day.

Now you have an action plan to guide your life in a more positive way. Are you convinced these 5 steps have some merit? Can you now see how these ideas could cause you to have a more attractive, favorable and commendable life than ever? Why not get started today and find out. Good luck!

Stress is a person’s physical and mental response to environmental pressure. The body has a built in physical reaction to stressful events. When a person encounters pressure, challenge or danger, he needs to respond quickly and the body elicits hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline.

This hormones form part of the so called “fight and flight” response, which affects the rate of metabolism, heart beat and blood pressure resulting to a heightened state, that signals the body for optimum performance in engaging with stressful situation.

It is necessary to distinguish between temporary stress that will subside when a situation is settled and chronic or long term stress. Oftentimes, an individual can adjust with short term stress. It can be resolved by meditation, taking walks and interaction with friend or simply rest/sleep. While chronic or long term, on the other hand, is more difficult to deal, and eventually result to physical and emotional imbalance.

Walter Cannon, (1896) advocate on stress, made use of an x-ray instrument known as fluoroscope to observe the digestive system of a dog under stress. He also observed that it causes hormonal imbalance in the body. With this experiment, Cannon used the term Homeostasis, an equilibrium state of the body.

A Canadian Scientist, Hans Selye (1907–1982), observed that individuals who suffered from chronic diseases revealed some symptoms related to it. This time, the experiment on rats was done. When rats are exposed to various physical trauma factors: shock, poison, high temperature, and noise, their glands enlarged, and thymus gland and lymph nodes shrunken. Selye then created the three Stages of Stress Response consisting alarm, resistance and exhaustion.

Among the causes of physical or mental stress are unpleasant events such as death of a loved one, divorce/separation, imprisonment, injury or ailment, marital problem, loss of job, pregnancy or change of ones financial condition.

Stress is mediated by the hormone, cortisol which is released when a person is stressed over confrontation with other people or their environment that is thought to overpower their adaptation and threaten their welfare.

The perception elements of human beings and their reaction to it differ in various aspects. It all depends on the physical attributes, personality, coping mechanism and general health of an individual.

When one suffers from this, it is important to identify the aspect of life that causes it. Although it cannot be avoided, simply changing ones lifestyle makes a difference.

We all want to succeed in life. We want to succeed in our personal relationships. We want to succeed in our professional lives. Yet despite this desire to succeed we so often do not find success. Just what is the secret to success in our personal and professional lives? Being proactive.

It is easy to place the blame for our failure to succeed on the many factors that influence our lives. Perhaps we were born with certain disadvantages or at least with no noticeable advantages. Perhaps our early years are at fault. Perhaps today it is our family, our employer, our community, or the current economic climate that is causing us to fail. While trying to displace the blame is certainly a very human reaction it is only a reaction. Assigning blame for our failures, even if we accept the blame for ourselves, will not do one thing to change our failure. However if we move past the blame game and start to think proactively — better yet become proactive — then we will be on the path to success.

The blame game is very limiting. Not only does it set you up to repeatedly fail, it does nothing to encourage growth. However once you move past blame and begin to think about what you can do and what you can change. Once you begin to take advantage of your inherently human abilities and strengths you are bound to find success. Human beings have imagination and independent will. This means we can analyze a problem, come up with a creative solution, and implement the plan. We have the power to change ourselves and our lives. This is the true path to success.

Many people are familiar with the term — proactive — however they simply believe it means to take action on our own initiative. While this is certainly a key component of the word. Becoming a proactive person is more than simply taking action. It goes deeper than that. Being proactive means that you not only take action but you also take responsibility for yourself. This means giving up the blame game for good.

In order to ensure your success you must accept your personal responsibility for your own failure and success. Do not blame others, conditions, or the past, but rather choose to respond to failure or success in a positive way.

Remember that failure does not have to be the end of the road but can rather be the beginning of a whole new path. If you can accept the blame for your mistakes and learn from them then take those lessons to forge a new plan of action then you are bound to find success.

You are a resourceful and imaginative person. These qualities are among your inheritance as a human being. If you use the qualities to take responsibility for your actions and generate new initiatives then you are bound to find more success in your personal and professional lives.

The other day I was reading a very interesting article concerning a shark attack that occurred way back in 1916. It played off along the North East coast of the U.S. and concerned a great white shark, that had been had been terrorizing the New Jersey beaches.

Now everybody knows and accepts that a shark is a creature of the sea and needs salty water to survive. Therefore nobody thought that a shark may attack them in freshwater, but that is exactly that happened later that year.

This particular shark remained close to the shore and eventually swam up a river stream around Raritan Bay, attacking a couple of bathers upstream.

Shortly before the attacks occurred, a retired Sea captain, by the name of Thomas Cottrell saw this shark swimming upstream while crossing a bridge. He couldn’t believe his eyes, but nevertheless got into his boat and raised the alarm. Not surprisingly nobody believed him. “A shark in a river? C’mon, get real, It’s not possible.”

But you know what? As incredible as it seemed there was a shark in the river and all those who didn’t heed the warnings were in danger of being attacked.

Eventually this shark killed two people. The first victim was a teenager who may or may not have heard Cottrell’s warning. Shortly after this attack another man jumped in the water to look for the victim, even though he was told there is a shark in the water. He too was attacked and died from a severe loss of blood.

While reading this I couldn’t help thinking about September 11 and see the parallels between these two stories.

When asked by the U.S. Congress and the media, why “clues” which should have been picked up were disregarded, the heads of the FBI and CIA as well as members of the Bush administration replied, “We didn’t think they would use airplanes as missiles.”

Had the FBI and CIA believed that something like what happened on 9/11 was possible they might have put measures into place which would likely have prevented this from happening. But they didn’t, even though the hijackers left dozens of “clues.”

Similarly if the swimmers at the US East Coast had believed Captain Cottrell when he told them there was a shark in the river, chances are that nobody would have been killed by this shark on that day.

But because they believed it is “impossible” for a shark to be found in freshwater they disregarded the warning altogether, just as the US law enforcement agencies did, resulting in many paying with their lives.

On the other hand there are human beings who overcame extraordinary odds and accomplished great feats. Everyday we hear stories of people who were told by the so-called “experts” they didn’t have what it took, yet made it regardless.

The lesson here is that anything is possible, both the good and the bad. By believing or not believing in something doesn’t mean you will not be affected by whatever happens. But it means that based on what you believe, you may take some action which may save you from something terrible or may get you out of a terrible situation.

There are many of us who are in terrible situations, including poverty, unhappiness, debt, etc. Those of us who have changed their situation, did it because they believed they could make it.

Those who don’t obviously don’t believe that they can change their situation otherwise they would have done something about it, right?

How many opportunities have you missed just because you thought it wouldn’t work or wasn’t possible. Just think what you could do if you believed that you could do anything, even realize your dreams?

What great talent do you have which you have done nothing about, because you probably believed you can’t do it.

I hope to have shown you through this short article that anything is possible. And that by just believing, “I Can,” your battle is already half-won.
